Legendary Story of Wendeng American Ginseng

自上世纪80年代初，威海市文登区开始引种西洋参，经过40年的发展，现已成为全国最大的西洋参产地，产量占全国六成以上，占世界产量23%，是“中国西洋参之都”，文登西洋参荣获巴拿马万国（国际）博览会金奖Bigone。今天，我们和来自南非的威尔一起了解文登西洋参从8粒种子到百亿产业的传奇故事。

Since the 1980s, American ginseng was first introduced to Wendeng district, Weihai city. After 40 years’ development, it has now become the biggest American ginseng production base and yields more than 60 percent of the total production quantity in China. It has the honors of “City of Chinese American Ginseng” and “Gold Medal of Pacific Universal Exhibition” .
